The Reading Room

Furnishing some comforting interlude from the sun, The Reading Room offers western light and comfort food for lunch. Past noon, guests can choose over their TWG selections, iced teas and specialty coffees as well as sample our delicious sandwiches, snack or pastries. Also, if you do not wish to sit outdoors at Ombak, the management would be happy to serve your food here.

Perfect for a beach front wedding, Soori houses several event venues that provides the setting sun  as your backdrop. The Sunset Lawn, The Soori Estate, Soori Residence, all restaurants, pool side and helipad can be decorated and tailor made to fit your theme.

The Courtyard

Equipped with audio visual equipment such as a projector, built-in screen, speaker and microphone, business presentations become amiable at the Courtyard which seats up to 40 participants. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, juices and mineral water are available throughout the meeting, alongside essentials such as writing pads and pencils, flip chart and markers.

If you are at the Soori, you cannot leave without experiencing the Spa. The staff here will transport you to another dimension with the beautifully orchestrated Spa routines. Relax and indulge in natural spa treatments at this secluded sanctuary.  The reflective pond at reception level, creates an aqua roof that fills the spa with soothing spectrum of watery light. Yoga addicts can rejoice as classes are held daily in the morning.

Tours (Bicycle and Segway)

Make sure you take out some time to tour the local village on a segway, yes, a segway! The staff would be happy to arrange a segway tour on the motorized unicycle, which moves by leaning forward and sideways. A 2-3 minute training is all you need to become one with this machine- after which you basically control it with your mind. Its great to see the lush paddy fields, temples and the village life and a fun experience you will remember for a lifetime.

Things to note

*Make sure to arrange a Soori cab to pick you up, as the experience starts from there. Wet towels, face mists, local snacks and the works – all before you even reach the place.

*Be sure to have an ample amount of sunblock as the weather is often sunny.

*From April to October, the weather comfortably warm with relatively low humidity. The average daily temperature hovers around 84°F/27°C. November to March is warmer and more humid. The average daily temperature is a constant 92°F/32°C.

* Language Bahasa Indonesia and English are both widely spoken and understood.

* The resort has been designed and constructed with environmental sustainability in mind, be friendly to mother earth.

Getting there

The nearest airport is the Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, Bali.  There is a departure Tax, international : Rp. 150,000 and domestic : Rp. 40,000. Chauffeured service is available for airport transfers and local transport.
