Must-Try Summer Drinks This Season

By on June 8, 2018

We agree that the sweltering heat of summer has its cons. But look at the brighter side – a beach vacay, diving straight in to the pool in the newly bought monokini, the same monokini you impulsively purchased in a mall to escape the heat outside.Ha! And all this while sipping on to your summer special drinks! Here is a quick round-up on some beverages that you may want to add to your new list of favorites:

Nespresso

Following the success of last year’s introduction to coffee on ice, Nespresso launches two new limited edition coffees (available only till 22ndJuly) – Ispirazione Salentina (bold taste) and Ispirazione Shakerato (powerful dark cocoa aroma) – especially designed to be enjoyed with ice to help you create your perfect summer experience. This year, the iced coffee duo takes inspiration from Italy, bringing the spirit of “dolce far niente” to all coffee lovers worldwide.

Nespresso’s Fruity Mintespresso Ispirazione Salentina

We tried the Fruity Mintespresso Ispirazione Salentina and fell in love with it instantly. A DIY Drink which can be made easily from the comfort of your home or workplace. All you need to do is add some apple or grapefruit juice with a sprig of mint leaves. Priced at $67 per sleeve consisting of 10 capsules, this twisty fruitilicious coffee is an absolute classy addition to your summer adventures.

We absolutely are excited to try the Smashed Strawberries Matcha  Latte. The concoction seems tempting to us already. Only available  as  a cold  drink,  the Smashed  Strawberries Matcha  Latte will  be  a permanent  addition  to the  menu  and will  be  available at  Flamingo  Bloom’s salons  in  Tsim Sha  Tsui  and Central.

Cucumberella @ Grassroot Pantry

Your high-end vegetarian restaurant on the Hollywood Road with chic setting, Grassroot Pantry has rolled out some non-alcoholic beverages. All the summer-special mocktails are infused with Seedlip, a distilled non-alcoholic spirit for a refreshing sweetness.

Their summer drink menu includes Cucumberella which is a blend of cucumber, lemon, seedlip garden, coconut nectar and gingerella fizz. Quite honestly, it isn’t the drink of our choice as the irrefutable taste of cucumber is pretty high and our taste buds craved for those hints of ginger or coconut. It was more like Cucumber Fizz.

But if you loved salted caramel drink last season, you will be replacing your drink this season with Tropical Spice that comprise fragrant elements of passionfruit, seedlip spice, ginger and coconut water!
