While you’ve been busy preparing for the year of the snake’s arrival, the chefs from SPICE restaurant were cooking up some Valentine’s Day concoctions, guaranteed to spice up what you have (or don’t have…yet) with that ‘special’ someone. *Wink!* Available this February 10 to 14, the love menu will be serving a cold appetizer of Salmon with Spring Onions, Shallot, Chilli and some Lime Sauce while the hot appetizer gives you two items to choose from—a ‘Vegetable Bag’ delicately placed on top of that tangy, sweet mango sauce or the Chettinad Fish Tikka which leaves you craving for more. The main course features five flavour-packed dishes, rich textures and mouthwatering spices. They are the Steamed King Prawns with Asparagus and Bamboo Fungus and Spicy Sauce, the mouthwatering crunch from your favourite Soft Shall Crabs, cooked in a rich Egg Cream Curry and the Thai Red Curry Chicken. In addition to the list are the Mud Pot Cooked Lamb and the Chicken Taka Tak And we hope we won’t break your heart by saying telling you to choose one only. A lot like that one true love, eh? You get to order rice or some Indian bread on the side. We will also be serving a complimentary glass of Prosecco for each person. Valentine’s Day in Mexico is not just about celebrating love, it is also a day to show appreciation for your friends. At Brickhouse, they value friends and love the idea of developing relations so they are welcoming you with your lover, mother, sister or pet dog!

On top of an a la carte menu, you can start with Chilled Oysters served with minced pickled onion, chimichurri and lime to commemorate history’s most famous lover, Casanova. He was said to consume 50 oysters for breakfast daily!

What excites us the most is that they have crafted their very own Pocion de Fuego, which translates to ‘potion of fire’! This potion is made with a secret combination of blanco, reposado and anejo tequila with the added balance of grapefruit, pineapple, spiced syrup infused with cinnamon and anise. On Love’s biggest night of the year, when restaurants offer set menus for two and create an evening almost exclusively for couples, Stone Nullah Tavern provide a Valentine’s night of a different type. On February 14, Stone Nullah Tavern goes old-skool by firing cupids arrows into a dining room for single ladies and men with a secret valentine postal service.

Stone Nullah Tavern turns back the clock and encourages good ole’fashioned romance by inviting single people to make connections by the written hand. Post boxes, notelets and envelopes are placed at each numbered table for diners to write anonymous messages to other diners in the restaurant. Going back to basics, before the digital age, each note is delivered by a server and accompanied by a signature “through the heart” shot! In addition, ladies drink for free all night when dining in the restaurant, while at the bar, a DJ puts bar flies in the mood to groove, with Motown and soul tunes.
