We recently visited the month old Tapas a’Peel, opened up in a quiet corner of Peel Street overlooking Pak Sze Lane Park, serving freshly home prepared dishes from countries around Mediterranean region like Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Morocco. What we loved about the place was the fresh ingredients bringing out true authentic flavours of the dishes.
The best part about Tapas A’peel is that they have a wide range of vegetarian starters including Bruschetta Duo of Olive Tapenada & Tomato, Moroccan Salad with Eggplant, Vine tomatoes, Red Onions & Tahini Yoghurt Dressing; Small Green Peppers Stuffed with Feta Cheese.
Some of the options from the main course includes Grilled Lamb Shoulder Chops in Moroccan Marinade, Piri Piri Chicken, Sautéed Chorizo & Vegetable Moussaka along with delicious Wood fired pizzas.
You can also select your own freshly baked loaf with the following options of Sun dried Tomato & Olive; Garlic Loaf with Rosemary & Sea Salt and Italian Herb Panini – accompanied by top quality Virgin Olive Oil, Aged Balsamico and a personal garlic grater.
A set lunch offers Mediterranean Appetizer Platter or Mixed Salad, followed by a Daily Pasta, coffee or tea ($88). You can choose Wood-fired Pizza Margarita for an additional $40 to replace the pasta.
