‘Sewa’ is the Indian word for service, and Sewa Day is a universal volunteering initiative that stresses on the selfless donation of one’s time to volunteer and make a difference to those in need.

Since 2010, Sewa Day, an NGO registered in the UK, has touched the lives of over a 100,000 people in 80 countries. This year, Sewa Day in Hong Kong will be organised on the 23rd and 24th September, 2017 It will offer the opportunity to individuals from all backgrounds to put their best foot forward and give a little time to those who are less privileged, animals who need care, or the environment.

Sewa Day is guided by Mahatma Gandhi’s vision: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”. We are constantly looking for partners, corporates, institutions, and community leaders to join us in facilitating change within Hong Kong. Once we have you as a partner, the core Sewa Day team agreeing a series of charity events with facilitating NGOs, and then sourcing volunteers enthusiastic to give their time for the event and cause.

Sewa Day is a great opportunity for corporations to act on their CDR responsibilities, and bring their teams together for a day of team building fun while making a difference to our great ciry, Hong Kong.
