The systematic development of Vistaar, the highly complex yet well structured “sargams”, and sizzling “taans” develop and portray the emotional content of his chosen raga. Mr Sarathi’s classical treatment of “Ragas” has won him critical acclaim for maintaining its traditional purity without dilution from foreign influences. Apart from the Khayal Gayaki, Sarathi is also an exquisite performer of other romantic musical styles such as Thumri, and of devotional music like Bhajans.
