Bollywood releases in Hong Kong for the month of October 2012.

 

October 5th – 6th English Vinglish

Starring the gorgeous Sridevi who is all set to make a comeback after 14 years. Sridevi plays the central role of a Pune based Maharashtrian housewife, who enrols for an English speaking course in order to please her husband and family. The director Gauri wanted her characters to be rooted and so they decided that the family will be Marathi. That’s why the film was shot in Pune. Sridevi character is inspired from Gauri’s mother.

October 13th-14th , 2012 – Aiyaa

Rani Mukherjee plays a Marathi girl who falls in love with a Tamil artist. A Bollywood romantic comedy is bound to get some major laughs. The movie also marks the debut of Tamil star “Prithvraj”. Get ready to see the Marathi and Tamil cultural clash.

 

October 19th, 20th & 21st , 2012 – Student of the Year.

Karan Johar is back with his directorial chops launching (more like rocket launching) the careers of Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. This is the first movie by Karan Johar as director which does not feature Shahrukh Khan (he did produce the movie via Red Chillies Entertainment). Every college going kid is eagerly anticipating the release and will surely be a blockbuster. Future looks very bright for the Student of the Year.

October 28th , 2012 – Chakravyuh.

From Prakash Jha, the director of thought provoking political thrillers like ‘Aarakshan’ and ‘Raajneeti’ comes another thrilling social commentary about the Naxalite movement. Starring Arjun Rampal, Abhay Deol, Om Puri and Manoj Bajpai in his next movie after giving a performance of his lifetime in ‘gangs of wasseypur 1’.
