Sarbjit is a biopic directed by Omung Kumar. The film is based on an Indian farmer named Sarabjit Singh who was convicted of terrorism by Pakistani Court in 1991. He was sentenced to death however; his sentence was repeatedly postponed by the court. He was eventually killed in an attack by a fellow prisoner in 2013. The film stars Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and scheduled to release on 20th May.

Looks like 2016 is a year of biopics. After the success of Airlift and Neerja, we’re in for an interesting bopic about Mahavir Singh Phogat’s life. Aamir Khan’s Dangal is one of the most awaited Bollywood films to look forward to in 2016 for its strong plotline. The story is based on amateur Indian wrestler Mahavir, portrayed by Aamir Khan who taught wrestling to his daughters, Babita and Geeta. The film is slated for a December release.

Rangoon is a romance/drama period film set during World War 2. The film is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and stars Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut. The movie will hit theaters on 30th September.
